Sometimes a customer requests something different and this time was certainly that. This Napa River Cruise was a very special occasion. Enough so that it gave me goosebumps (of the good kind) when I played back and watched the video footage.
It was May 2025 and I was contacted months in advance by a very anxious groom-to-be. He wanted this day to be perfect (totally understandable) and we discussed how it should unfold on the telephone on more than one occasion. From memory I believe they were coming from New York and she thought it was just for a Napa Valley vacation.
Based on the weather and the time of day I chose a particular scenic and protected channel running off a slough that branched from the main stem of the Napa River – not too far downstream.
To this day I still feel that it was a such a huge honor and a privilege that I was the one chosen to help this young man propose to his future bride to be on my boat out in the beautiful and scenic Napa River Wetlands.
