Lee, Brandy and their 13 year old son John were visiting the area from Lubbock Texas and joined Wombat Charters Fishing on an (extended) half day Napa River guided fishing trip. 😉
John is relatively new to fishing but he sure picked up shallow water lure casting with Capt Aussie Bob really quickly – and with great enthusiasm! Even to the point of now being able to correct his parents when they are casting, retrieving & fighting fish incorrectly.
The combined effect of the tide and wind weren’t conducive to the best fishing conditions and we had to move around a lot to find a few fish.
John managed to land one really nice Striper and he did it with the style and finesse of a seasoned angler.
Lee lost one big fish and Brandy lost two big Stripers that threw the hook.
All big fish are released.
